You can find different types of traffic exchanges online. Even though they are different they all have the same aim and that is to bring traffic to your websites. The many types of traffic exchanges, for example link exchanges is where web sites owners exchange links on their websites. Then there are banner exchanges and manual traffic exchanges ( which is what this article is about)


What is a manual traffic exchange? If one had not heard of this before, it will be confusing. However the idea behind manual traffic exchange is simple. The idea is to allow one web sites owners to manually exchange traffic with other web sites owners. How is this done is that the web sites owners must view the websites of others in return for other web sites owners to view them.

The major difference with a manual traffic exchange and link exchanges or banner exchanges is that the traffic is generated manually. On the other hand the others generate traffic from your website organic traffic. Thus when the idea of auto ( not manual ) traffic exchange is such attractive to web sites owners who look for the new traffic generated.

However there is just one big problem with auto traffic manual and that is users just do not looking at the websites that are taking part in the auto traffic exchanges. This where manual traffic comes in. In manual traffic exchanges, web masters who are taking part have to view your websites. Most manual traffic exchanges have a built in timer of between 10 to 24 seconds. In that time the viewer should not click on as they will lose credits.

This idea is good but web masters has to think outside the box on what they should and should not do when using manual traffic exchanges. One key thing to do is web pages should be fast loading and quick to the point. No long winding sales page as the viewer just has no time to read through. Once the timing is up, they just click on.

This is the major disadvantage of manual traffic exchange. But this disadvantage can be turned into an advantage. In fact due to the fact that web sites owners love to quickly click on to the next website, it is found that the best use of manual traffic exchanges have been found to be 1) Branding and 2) List building.
